Rough seas? NYC GEM in July?

Hi! I was wondering how the sailing is from NYC to Orlando/Bahamas on in July on the Gem? It is my first time sailing from this port and want to be prepared. Thanks!!

was on july 4th week sailing GEM in 2013 and the 2nd day was pretty rough on the way down. it didn't bother me but I was with some first time cruisers and they had some issues. No real problems the rest of the week or the way back though.

 

I think there was a storm around on the way down. It's really subjective to the weather.

It might be smooth as glass, it might be stormy, it might be anywhere in between. In other words it would be impossible to give you a definitive answer.

 

The Captain will do everything to make sure you have the smoothest ride possible.
