Is there a way to get from Kusadasi to Patmos?

We are stopping at the port of Kusadasi in June, and we are really wanting to see the island of Patmos (we visited Ephesus 2 years ago, so looking ofr something new). Is it doable to get to Patmos & see the monastery & cave of St. John & make it back to port? We are in port 13:00-20:00 that day (a Thursday, I believe).

I haven't been to either yet, but strangely enough came across this thread today while checking what to do in Kusadasi and Patmos.

From what they say, there are ferries but it doesn't look like a shore excursion would be possible.

Too far for a day return trip - 560 km one way and you would need a couple of ferries via Samos.
