Colo Cruiser Posted March 13, 2014 #26 Share Posted March 13, 2014 Thanks, sounds like a no brainer. Wife couldn't get enough time for Panama Canal so Alaska is Plan B. Is September still fairly warm enough to still enjoy the experience? You can never count on warm in Alaska, we had snow at the end of July and 70 in May. golfb4cruzing Posted March 13, 2014 Author #27 Share Posted March 13, 2014 I did a little research on average monthly temps and found around 50 to be the average. Not unbearable and still shorts season to me. A non rainy week would be optimal. Thanks for the continued postings.

We lived in Maine for a bit and had snow one year for July 4th. Fireworks in winter coats. Good times...

Just be prepared to dress in layers when you go.
