JNU-700 is a favorite, and we're going to do it again.

Skagway: train to Bennett Lake was great, but be warned that it's long, and you have to choose "stand outside for better pictures where you cannot hear the narration" or "sit/stand inside and photograph through glass windows where you can hear the narration", but the train line refuses to put speakers at the front/rear car decks.

Honestly, ask yourself what you like/dislike, and choose for you. My parents loved the Bering Sea fishing/whatever it is, aboard a boat that was previously featured on Deadliest catch, and so did my aunt/uncle, but I'm not real interested in that style of excursion.

There are very detailed trip reports in the STICKY above called ' 2013 alaska cruise review list'. Go to pg 3, reply #45 where the reports are sorted by cruiseline and ship. You'll find descriptions, even photos, of excursions and activities.
