bearbait Posted March 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Yep. All of Alaska isn't an icebox. It's 38 here in Anchorage and it's a mess with all the snow and ice melting.
retiring soon Posted March 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2014 HI all! I was surprised to find that out too. I've been watching the temps at Juneau & it's been warmer than here most of the winter. ~ Jo ~ :)

dyeadave Posted March 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2014 It only got to about 40 today, where in Skagway the sun is shining for the 60th day out of the last 63, and so it seems warmer than that and with this clear weather we have been seeing a lot more of the northern lights than usual! Wish you all were here to enjoy this with us! DD
CobbClan Posted March 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Yep. Been warmer than this part of Michigan all winter too. Rather depressing, actually.

MNfamilycruiser Posted March 25, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Yes, due to those lovely Polar Vortexes it has been warmer in Alaska than here for much of the winter. We got another couple of inches of snow yesterday.... Who knows - if this weather pattern holds through the rest of the year - we may be headed north to WARMER weather the end of May:eek:
