Best night to book specialty restaurant o 3 day

What's the best night to book the specialty restaurant on a 3 day cruise?

I'm not sure what you would consider best or which cruise you are on but when we sailed Enchantment, formal night was Day 2 but that was also the day we were in port late. So it depends upon whether you are trying to work around port schedules, love or want to avoid formal night in the MDR, etc.

I would say if you have my time dining go to the specialty dining the 1st night, if not go the last night. I am going the first night on my upcoming cruise, albeit a 7 day. I just wanted to kick it off extra special! :)
