Kids club for a 2 year old on Royal Princess?

How is the kids club for a 2 yr old on this ship? We've seen it on the grand princess and it wasn't much at all. Thinking of taking an 11 day cruise and was hoping there would be a kids club with more to do than just coloring and playing with some old toys with missing pieces. My son had fun for the hour we were there but I think after several times he'd be bored. I know other cruise lines cater to kids more, but they don't offer this certain itinerary.

The kids club on the Royal is better than on other Princess ships. But, as you know, you'll have to stay with your child and they can't go into a pool unless they are fully potty-trained.

Since he can't take part in the actual program, maybe you should bring some of his toys/books plus a couple of new ones as a surprise. On my daughter's first cruise, she was a month too young to take part in Camp Carnival. We did take part in a first night activity that was open to all kids, no matter the age, and parents, but didn't use the kids' area at all.
