choice of cruises

We are considering two different cruises. One is August goes to Tracy Arm; one in mid-September goes to Glacier Bay NP.

 

Given the differences in weather and itinerary, which should we choose?

Besides Glacier Bay being important to us, the cruises with longer times in port were important.

[Budget Queen]

Mid Sept, are you going to be well prepared for dark by 7pm and the worse weather potential of the season? Glacier dog sledding will be over.

 

Tracy Arm- are you going to take the ship add on tour? Grossly superior compared to the cruise ship transit, and much higher chance of getting within view of the glacier? If you aren't going to pay for the add on tour, will it be ok for you not to see glaciers?

 

Answering these questions yourself, will put you closer to the choice. Nobody can choose for you.
