upgrading to a grand suite(fees)

There's no standard service fee to upgrade from one category to the next. It all depends on the ship, how full it is, and how many cabins are available in the category you're looking to upgrade to. The more availability the lower the price. The less availability the higher the price. I just go to carnival and do a mock booking (up until payment is required) and I can usually see what it will cost to upgrade myself to the next category. I hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise. :)

There aren't fees, but if there was OBC offered with your booking you risk losing it. Carnival will usually always take more money and pretty much always let you upgrade. I'd make a decision soon because at a certain unknown point (usually close to sailing) they'll start upselling other guests.
