Coco Cay Questions

So excited to be leaving for our sailing on the Grandeur of the Seas in 5 days! I was trying to find out some more information about our stop in Coco Cay, but have come up empty handed.

 

I understand you have the ability to purchase drinks and have read in some reviews there's a market to purchase souvenirs, however these reviews were quite dated.

 

Is this still the case? And if so, are you able to use cash in the market or do they prefer the use of your Sea Pass?

The "straw market" is cash only,....can't use your seapass for the local's stuff. Everything else will be seapass only, like drinks or excursions.

the market is full of the usual tourist stuff. i thought it would have been some nicer hand made stuff but it looks like alot mass made since different stalls had the same stuff - and it seamed over priced.

Seems like it might be a lot like the open air market in Labadee.

The straw market on Coco Cay is very small. I'd wait and take a look at the one in Nassau unless you want something that is branded specifically with Coco Cay.

There is not a working population in Coco Cay, just staff, cash only because so many cruise lines use this island now. Very pretty place by the way, hope you have fun.
