rarin2go Posted April 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2014 We are booked on two consecutive cruises, Venice - Rome, Rome - Monte Carlo and have already booked excursions on both. There does not seem to be an excursion option offered for the day we are in Civitavecchia (Rome). Can we not take an excursion on that day (we are in the same suite on both legs) or will we get a chance to do this when we board? Thanks in advance! DeepFreeze63 Posted April 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Have done several "back-to-back" cruises with Regent. They always had nice excursion options for those who stayed on board. Never got notice of availability until 2nd or 3rd day of first leg. Destinations Desk on Board always told me they didn't know in advance and had to wait to hear from Headquarters. You can a hint by looking at what Regent has offered for "Rome" in the past for non-changeover days (Regent doesn't necessarily offer all of these excursions on BTB days). The Mariner is in Venice today as a turnaround day. No excursion was offered. The reason given: too few people staying onboard to make it worth their effort. Otherwise, free excursions are usually provided, and those are offered a few days into the cruise. Edited April 17, 2014 by Anchorbuoy
rarin2go Posted April 17, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Thanks to you both. As these two cruises have also been marketed as part of a longer cruise, I'm hopeful that there will be quite a few of us staying on. :) If not then we don't mind a 'static sea day'!;)
TedC Posted April 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Even if they do not offer a tour on that day you have the secret pleasure of staying aboard while most folks have to get off! ENJOY the ship and your other cruise! LUCKY YOU!
