Need help picking a cabin on Independence!

Recommended Posts

Hello~

Okay, I apologize, I am either too impatient or wound up (or most likely both! :o) to wait for a response on the new cruisers 'help with selecting a cabin' board, so I came here to ask the question as well.

Our TA told us we have these options on the Independence (category D1): 1064, 4070, 1072, 1074, 1088, 1090, 1588, 6350, 6650, 6664, 7372, 7670, 7672, 7374, 7674, 7376, 7676, 8674, 8376, 8676, 9674, 9676.

I had requested an AFT balcony. I can't find the 1072, etc. cabins. Could she have mistyped it or something? I just sent her an e-mail to ask and am waiting to hear back from her.

Please help me decide!

Thank you!!

Your thoughts?!

Thank you!!

This is a list of 15 cabins which is all the website shows at one time. Usually if there are 15 showing that means that there are others available. I would have your TA call and ask specifically about cabin numbers if there are ones that you are interested in. The search by cabin number hasn't been working for me for a bit.

You could also go to RCCL UK and search there as that site will list every available cabin within a category and not just the 15.

So, it looks like our best options are 9676 or trying to get a 'true' aft by seeing if we can upgrade to a JS for an extra $673, and seeing if a cabin like 1406 is available. What is a side aft balcony like? Is it basically the same as any other balcony, just towards the back of the ship? Should we pay more for a true aft? My DH would be perfectly happy with an ocean view, so I might be pushing my luck in upgrading to a JS!

Thanks for your help and advice!

9676 is a typical balcony. Nothing special. I tried mock bookings for the "secret" large aft balconies and they are all sold out for your date (4/25/2015) - possibly due to spring break and the sale going on. Have you looked into the hump balconies? At least they are a bit larger, but nothing like the aft.

We love those afts so much that we have jumped ship once to get one :D From FOS to Indy LOL!

PS: 9640 and 9642 are samples of hump balconies still available.

Does anyone know where the bed is located (near cabin door or balcony door) in cabin 9676 on Independence of the Seas

Thanks in advance

If it's a D/E category, then the beds are all near the balcony door.

I had 7374 last week on the TA and it was a great balcony cabin. I asked for a lounger and there was room for it, three chairs and a little table on the balcony.

The location was very quiet and it didn't seem too far aft for a lot of walking.

I was very happy with it.
