Bermuda Day 2014 date confusion

Just to clarify:

 

The true date for Bermuda Day is May 24th but, since that is a Saturday this year, the public holiday, and all the events that happen then, will be on Monday May 26th.

Saturday May 24th is likely to be just a regular Saturday, apart from the fact that it is the start of a long weekend holiday that marks the Official Beginning of Summer here in the Somers Isles!

Thank you so much for posting this jollyjones.

We will be in Bermuda next Monday so it will not affect us but it is good to know for the future.

Looking forward to some bakewell tarts whilst there!:D
