Westlake is the last stop on metro from airport and near many of the most popular downtown locations

 

If you want the metro from airport to Westlake and then catch a taxi, you can catch one when you exit metro and ride to Pier 91 and your ship. If you prefer, you can call a taxi during your metro ride (since it takes 38 min. from airport) and have them waiting for you when you arrive.

 

most people who ride metro from airport have bags so you will see many others taking the same trip to downtown. and as mentioned before, you can pick up a bus from Metro Westlake to pier 91 as well. (but you will have to take your bags 100 yards from bus to ship) most have roller bags on wheels so it is not a challenge. It may get you to the ship faster than the line of taxis waiting to drop off guests on ship at busy times.

 

either way ride the metro from airport to downtown is faster (and much less expensive than a taxi from the airport); and at Metro Westlake station, you will be a short distance from Pier 91

Curious as to where you got the 100 yard info. Have spent a lot of time at 91 and there is no city bus that can get you there within 100 yards. Could involve taking stairs to use an overpass so you can get over the train tracks and there is a guard booth to go through. Sure folks take the city bus and do the stairs and such, but they are the hardy ones! Distance from Westlake Link Station to 91 is approximately 4-5 miles.
