Zoey Posted May 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2014 I have pre-paid for four nights for two people of specialty dining reservations. How is it handled if I get onboard (Allure) and they are offering a 20% off specialty dining package, or something similar? Do they credit my credit card or give me onboard credit in the amount of 20% of what I pre-paid? I've research this question on CC and while it has been mentioned, I couldn't find a definitive answer about how that situation is handled. Thanks. Ourusualbeach Posted May 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2014 I would check once on board. Reservations can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty so you could cancel and re book. My thinking is that they know this and would just give you the 20% as an OBC.
chadbeck Posted May 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2014 I wasn't able to be credited the discount on board because of the pre pay and the deal was for onboard reservations only. So what they had to do is cancel/refund my pre pay and then rebook. In my situation when I got on board Adventure they had a pay for 4, get one free, and a bottle of wine up to $50. So it was a hassle to cancel and rebook but worth the trouble. It may not be that involved and more a case of they didn't know how else to handle it. Either way you will be able to get the deal some how.
