What happens when prepaid full price f/ specialty dining & there's special onboarding

I have pre-paid for four nights for two people of specialty dining reservations. How is it handled if I get onboard (Allure) and they are offering a 20% off specialty dining package, or something similar? Do they credit my credit card or give me onboard credit in the amount of 20% of what I pre-paid? I've research this question on CC and while it has been mentioned, I couldn't find a definitive answer about how that situation is handled. Thanks.

I wasn't able to be credited the discount on board because of the pre pay and the deal was for onboard reservations only. So what they had to do is cancel/refund my pre pay and then rebook. In my situation when I got on board Adventure they had a pay for 4, get one free, and a bottle of wine up to $50. So it was a hassle to cancel and rebook but worth the trouble. It may not be that involved and more a case of they didn't know how else to handle it. Either way you will be able to get the deal some how.
