I have a few questions...

Does anyone have the menu for Portofino on Explorer OTS?

What is the cost? I've read that the price was increasing.

Is it worth the money or should we just stick with the MDR? I've read mixed reviews.

When we last ate at Portofino's on Explorer the up-charge was $20 pp - but that was in 2012, and I can't confirm if that is current.

 

We enjoyed Portofino's both times we were on Explorer and ate there. But all food is of course subjective.

We were on the Explorer this past March and Portofino's was EXCELLENT! I cannot remember if the price was $20 or $25 pp. Well worth it, in our opinion!

We ate at portofinos twice last week and it was $25. If you google portofino royal caribbean you'll find tons of menu pics. We loved it and ate there twice. There seafood skewer is so dang good!

I ate at Portofino last May, and it was $20 per person. I'm not sure if there has been a price increase.

 

For me personally, I will not return to Portofino. My husband and I prefer a more relaxed environment where we can read everything on the menu (ha!). For us, we didn't enjoy our time because we had no idea what to order, and we weren't particularly thrilled with the food.

 

If you are someone that likes fine dining, then absolutely try Portofino! To get fine dining for only $20 a person is quite a deal anyway. If you don't feel comfortable in a more ritzy environment, though, then I would probably pass on Portofino.

In my opinion, Portofino is the best of RCI's restaurants. Everything I have eaten there has been delectable.

In December on the Explorer, it was only $20 pp. I enjoy it, especially the Tiramisu.

Enjoy it while you can, it will probably be changed to Giovanni's in early 2015.
