Port of Miami Parking for NCL Getaway Cruise

Very recently, someone wrote a review of their NCL Getaway cruise taken one week after we took ours.

Here's a quote taken directly from that review, "... we had no issue getting to the parking garage and to the terminal. We arrived at the port around 10:30am and was on the ship by 11:15am. Parking was a bit steep in price, it cost us $90 for 7 days. Other ports cost us about $60 in the past. Getting in and out of the parking garage was easy, they have pre-pay machines on each level so you can avoid waiting for an attendant at the bottom of the garage."

Question:

It sounds as though they parked right at the Port so, was the $90 charge for the week discounted somehow?

I ask because we paid $20 per day, for the 7 days, the week before.

We didn't park right at the port but we did only pay around $60. We parked @ Safe Cruise Parking and they take you right to your ship's dock and drop you off. You tell them the day you're returning, they pick you up.

No hassles. There are several other places to park and you may want to check the ports board where you'll find lots more info.

We saw the $20 per day rate (much higher than anywhere we'd parked before) and since we were going to be gone for a 28 day back to back, used a hotel with the stay and cruise option. They took us to the port and offered a low cost return trip from a vendor who turned out to be very dependable. Doing the same on upcoming trip in January although at a different hotel. (We use one of those park, fly (cruise) stay websites and the hotels are not the same each time you go. All the hotels have been okay that we've had. Miami ones are hard to come by but there are some.

The Florida departure board can give some specific info about the safety and convenience of the other parking facilities.
