Canada Place: Can you check cruise bag and then leave the terminal to return later ?

I will be at the Canada Place (Vancouver) dock by 11am. Is it acceptable to check your luggage with the porters and then leave the terminal for a few hours to see the city. Then I would return to complete check-in. My concern is that doing this might cause a security problem? (Yes, I am aware of a pay service in the terminal, also.) Thanks for any help.

Well, that should be no problem. Being away for some hours is like being in the line for some hours. They take your luggage as soon as you arrive there and then you can go everywhere you like.

Yes, there will be no problem with that at all. the porters often start accepting luggage as early as 9:30 so you will be just fine. There are no security issues and people often drop off their luggage and go for a walk.
