6311salt Posted June 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2014 On the Bermuda Web Cam there is a little transportation train that picks up passengers from RCC and Celebrity ships but does not go to where the Norwegian is docked. Does anyone know if the Norwegian passengers are able to use this service.

Rare shof515 Posted June 22, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 22, 2014 I think the OP is talking about the Dockyard tram that circles around the dockyard area from the ships to the main nearby shopping areas. Yes, Breakaway guest can use the tram service. They stop near the taxi/bus stand. The dock for the breakaway is too narrow for the tram to pass and thats why it does not stop in front of the gangway
bdette4 Posted June 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 22, 2014 Just got off of the Norwegian Dawn's June 13th cruise and I can tell you that the trains would not stop for us even though we were in a designated area for them. They came by us went down to the other ship turned around and first train was full and second was not and would not stop for us. Also be aware when they didn't stop we asked the cab drivers to take us further into the dockyard as we have people in their late 70's and 80's who couldn't walk it in that heat and they wouldn't as it wasn't worth the small fare for them. They told us to go to one of the cab drivers on the end as they didn't want to give up their spot. Pity on them as we would have used the same guy for our excursion later that day and the day after. So they lost out on a guaranteed 200.00 fare for two hours of driving.

The train that you see that goes over to Kings Wharf is still running but it no longer goes over to Heritage Wharf where the NCL ship's "DAWN" and "BREAKWATER" dock. We asked about the reason why it does not any longer go over to Heritage Wharf and was told it was stopped because of security reasons. It certainly is missed especially for the elder people that have trouble walking. Do hope sometime soon that they would reconsider letting it go down the Heritage Wharf pier. We were able to board the train up where the taxi stand is - the train usually stopped there on the grass area and people were able to board it. And returning to the ship you would stay on while it went over on the Kings Wharf side and when it continued on - back on its route - it would stop there (near the taxi stand - on the grass area) and let people on and off.
