Holland America Ships Sailing Out of Boston 2005?

Greetings to all...

I heard that Holland America will be positioning a ship for repeat sailings out of Boston in 2005? Does anyone know if this is true? If it is true, what ship will it be? What would the destination/itinerary be?

Due to a handicapped member of our family, we are only able to sail out of Boston and currently the only "regular" ship out of Boston is NCL's MAJESTY. It would be nice to be able to sail on another ship!

Thanks in advance for all your words of wisdom.

This summer HAL's Maasdam is doing weekly Boston to Boston cruises of a Canada/New England itinerary. The ship sails on Saturday and there are at least 8-10 sailing dates for this cruise.

In the spring, summer and fall of 2005 the Maasdam will be sailing from Boston. First will be NE/Canada and then on July 16, 2005 a 35-day round-trip cruise to Europe before she returns to do the NE/Canada cruises once again in late August and the fall.

I think most of the Boston cruises are not r/t. I just booked for a b2b, Boston-Montreal-Boston. It will be just wunnerful standing there at the rail, watching all those people waiting for their disembarkation letter to be called, streaming like ants to the buses ... and I have seven ha ha ha seven more days to cruise.

icon_smile.gif Truth be told, Tom....it is a GREAT feeling. icon_smile.gif

I still remember the first time we booked a b-to-b years ago and we knew on that first turnaround day, we would (hopefully) be doing it many more times. We have been fortunate that wish has come true for us.....and we are hoping for still more of them.

Enjoy it to the max. It is FUN!!

Our very first cruises, many, many years ago were back-to-back cruises on the Cunard Countess out of San Juan. It was great watching eveyone get on board while the 40+ of us staying on were sipping champagne with the captain in the lounge.

KK- You guys are too cool. Some day we hope to be of your cruising status. Meanwhile we will enjoy an occasional Vista class cruise and invest toward the goal of cruising where ever the wind blows. Cheers!
