How are points accumulated at tables?

Your "rated" by the pit boss, same as in any land casino, based on your average bet and length of stay. As for the exact calculation, Im sure they don't disclose that. (Nor is it an exact science since you can fluctuate your bet anytime you like.)

Can someone please tell me how they accumulate points at the tables in the casino.

Nobody knows including Carnival, The Carnival Players Club and The Ocean Players Club. For the first time in over 25 years of playing Blackjack I was told that losses were actually part of the equation and that that weighs more than how long you played.

If you ask 10 people at Carnival you will get 10 different answers. So far I am very happy with my comps based on my level of play. I know your level of play and quite frankly if I were you I would be playing elseware.

From the players club FAQ http://www.oceanplayersclub.com/vip-services/faqs.aspx

Q. I’m a table player, how do I get rated to earn comps?

A. A table player can be rated when playing at most table games. Just let the Dealer know that you wish to be rated every time you play. You will earn comps based upon your average bet and time played. Play 4 hours of play per day, at an average bet of $20, for your table play to be rated.

On sea days I could do this, but 4 hours everyday?

And on the other hand... who needs to be rated??? There are many people here and people I know off of here that are getting large discounted and free cruises... and hardly spent any time in the casino... it is also based on money spent onboard, and sometimes land casinos... this is what i learned from calling the players club...

Thanks, I appreciate your replies. I really wouldn't care if they would just make even close to fair. I'm glad you're getting rated for your play and happy with your comps, you seem like a great person. :)

I've reluctantly decided not to cruise Carnival again and make the switch to Norwegian for good. They are offering me a Haven Suite on my next cruise. I'm just as happy in an inside because I travel solo most of the time but I'll take it. Norwegian are very consistent in their ratings and treat the gamblers accordingly. I hate to leave Carnival because I absolutely love the passengers and crew but customer service has to count for something. Carnivals casino managers and hosts are like a meteorologist, they're rarely right and nor are they expected to be. I wish my job was without expectations or consequences. lol

I agree, it's a shame how the casino and offers are run. Trust me when I tell you it has nothing to do with gambling and money spent onboard. My total bill at the end of the cruise was just under 12k solo. I receive a small amount of cash at the cage, premier cruise offer that has a jacked up fare for the cruises and supposedly don't qualify for the "elite" cruise. Maybe 25k and 10 hours of max betting per day in the casino will will get it?

wow... you should be getting free cruises every month dropping that much cash.. :D ... Trust me... I don't spend even a tiny bit near that.. i went solo the last time... did the 12k you are listing, include your cruise and onboard spending... or just casino time if yu don't mind my asking...
