loubetti Posted July 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Sadly, this is somewhat old news (about a month old), but it was sent to me late. Anyway, here is the email I received from my friend in New York, who is a Cunard veteran and knows Ron: Hi Lou, My apologies; I misplaced your email address and thus didn't include you in the first group of friends who I thought would want to know this and perhaps send greetings to Ron & Kim. Below is the first email I sent out. In subsequent communications to me, details were given by Ron, e.g several cracked ribs, confinement at home without exertion etc. I'm sure they'd appreciate a friendly note from you. On a different subject, very soon there will be some very good news on the Big U, more to come. Trust me: things are coming to a sharp turn towards positive results. You (and many) will be very pleased with the result! BlueRiband Posted July 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Thank you for the update, and it's fortunate that the injuries are not life threatening. Regarding the "Big U", I would be cautious. In May I had the opportunity to confidentially hear directly from the main mover and shaker on this. But two years ago the ship was on the verge of a development deal which ultimately fell through. loubetti Posted July 15, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) As to the Big U, my good man, might the gentleman who sent me the emails first name ring a bell? I removed his last name and email for privacy reasons. We'll see what happens, that's all we can do. Edited July 15, 2014 by loubetti
