Atlantis

I know this topic is asked about often, but I just can't find an answer to my specific question. My husband and I will be in Atlantis November 7, I believe that there will be 1 other ship in port, we will be there from 12pm-8pm. My question is, is it worth it to go to Atlantis? Not sure what the crowd would look like at that time of year. This will be out first time in the Bahamas and I need to know if it would be worth it. I see a lot of reviews about it being crowded and not having enough time at the park. Would that apply for the time of year in which we are going? Thanks for your responses and help. I'm sorry to have to ask but I felt like I needed to ask a more specific set of questions.

We were there that time last year, but we got there before 9. No, I do not think its worth it for you. By the time you get there, lines will be long, and chairs will be taken. That's a lot of money for only a few hours.

this time of year, the pools, beaches and water park are shut down tight by 5pm. Since you won't arrive til around 1pm, it's unlikely you'll get your moneys worth.

Perfect!!! Thank you guys for your help. I guess we won't be visiting Atlantis. Well now I need to figure out where to go. I've never been there before. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great....but I'm about to head over to the Bahamas forum. Thanks again!!!

My friend just was on a ship this past week that was in Nassau from 8 am to 6 pm. She did the ship tour with NCL to Blue Lagoon Island and loved it.

I saw her pictures on Facebook and it looked wonderful. It was a 4 hr tour with lunch included. There are also dolphin tours available there as well.

I may have to do that tour next time myself!

Great...I saw that excursion and read the reviews. Most of the reviews were great but there were some complaints...As there always are. But I'm glad you know someone with firsthand experience...I will look more into it. I was also considering a day pass at the Melia Resort.

Is it possible to take a taxi to Atlantis and just use the casino, enter the shops and eat at a restaurant? Hubby got a new knee last November so the water rides are off limits and we will probably be at the beach the day before in Freeport. We are on the Sensation and will be there Wed. August 19th.

 

We love to gamble and thought we would just like to pop in to the casino there and try our luck.:D

 

Any information you can share would be a benefit

Yes, you can access the casino, and a few shops without a pass. The Restaurants on the property are no available to the public during the daytime, except for places like the pizza place and johnny rockets/deli.

In the evening, you'll need to make a reservation for the better restaurants. They book up quick, and some are closed on rotation.

Cab to Atlantis from the dock is $5pp. Coming back a few dollars more.
