eeniemeenie Posted August 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2005 do all cabins have a sofa? we are booked into 3256 oceanview on voyager as a quad. the picture of cabin seems to show a chair and not a sofa. the people at the RCCI phone lines seem to be clueless. not having a sofa would mean when the kids are in the pullman stlye beds only one of us would have a place to sit. could this be possible?? we got the only available quad left on the ship . we wanted a balcony and see that there are balcony cabins available but they tell us that they only have a certain amount of cabins that can be quads on every ship and although there may be more space available the coast guard ruling limits their ability to put us in one of these cabins. could this be true? any experience with switching the last minute? LonW Posted August 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2005 Not sure upon checking the RCL site it says: Oceanview Stateroom Two twin beds (can convert into queen-size), sitting area with sofa, vanity area, and a private bathroom. (180 sq. ft.) But the 360 degree view shows just a chair, no sofa. I would try to switch rooms.
serene56 Posted August 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2005 You will be sitting on the beds.. Having no sofa is not a problem. Some cabins have sofas. some chairs. the cabins that have a sofa --that sofa would be made into a bed anyways and you'd be back where you started from- noplace to sit. lay back- relax and dont worry about the small stuff- how old are your kids? MiniMom57 Posted August 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2005 My experience has been that "regular" cabins have a sofa, but connecting cabins have a chair.
rjg41 Posted August 11, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2005 If the room is rated as a quad it has a sofa. Not a quad, no sofa.
