tomc Posted August 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Anyone have Dirk's e-mail address? He just retired on July 16 from HAL and I'd like to get ahold of him. Thanx.
sail7seas Posted August 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Tom.... In an effort to help you, I can offer to e-mail you so that you will have my e-mail address (which I request you keep private) and if you wished you could forward me a message to send to Dirk. It could simply be, "I'd like to write you Dirk....what is your e-mail." I always feel uncomfortable handing out an e-mail addy without the person's permission. I hope that is helpful. tomc Posted August 10, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Sure. It's just a newspaper article about a girl from his country who lives in my city. She has done well for herself, educationally, and the paper did a feature on her. Thought he might like to read about it. No problem with your e-mail address. I never give them out; I consider addresses private (although the address I use on message boards is set up for public use and can be given out -- it's not my "real" address). sail7seas Posted August 10, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Tom.... I copied and pasted your message and e-mailed it to Dirk. :) Who knows what time of the day or night it is at his home though. Your e-mail address is in your message so he can contact you.
tomc Posted August 11, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted August 11, 2005 I can send you the article and you can forward it onto him, if you'd like.
sail7seas Posted August 11, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2005 IF he's checking his e-mail, Tom, I think he'll write you. I'm sure he remembers you from onboard. Of course, who knows if he is near a computer or 'on-line' at present.
