Carnival Splendor

Has anyone been on it recently? I have read a couple reviews on CC on the ships page but none of them have been overly helpful. I am planning on booking a cruise on Feb 15 Eastern Caribbean. This will be my second cruise on carnival - usually I cruise on NCL but I cant beat the price. I have previously been on the Valor! What upgrades does the ship have?

been on Splendor twice in 6 months. Beautiful ship. She has the retractable roof.

She has no 2.0 upgrades yet.

Decent food, decent entertainment.......no complaints

 

Not as good as NCL Gem (as far as entertainment & buffet)....but not as expensive either

 

I do like Tea Time on sea days. They have a nice selection of cakes.

We really enjoyed our Splendor cruise last year and going again in October. Good food, decent entertainment, very clean and great crew. Would love to see her get 2.0 upgrades.

Have been on Splendor twice this year with another cruise coming up this month. Has the Punchliner Comedy, but the old production show format (with the live orchestra), which we prefer. Fun, (too?) bright ship, in pretty good shape. MDR food was good - I tried to avoid the buffets though, which were always crowded. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Thanks everyone! We are booking mainly because the price is so good. I dont mind not having the fun ship 2.0 upgrades although they would be nice. My last cruises have been on NCL Getaway and Epic so it will be a little strange to not have the crazy amenities! Cant wait to go :)
