North Pacific Sea Conditions

My wife and I are considering taking an Asia Pacific cruise that would take us across the North Pacific in October. Has anyone made this trip? Any opinions on likely sea conditions? My wife gets seasick easily. Another alternative is to fly and pick up the ship in Tokyo.

We have crossed from Alaska to Asia twice in early October. The first trip was very smooth, the second just a bit rough for a couple of days. I think the decision for you should be based on how sensitive your wife is to rough seas - they are probable but not likely for the entire crossing. Can she use some of the remedies available? Of course, if you don't like sea days a flight to Toyko is the best option.
