Lancets...problems?

Will I have any problems carrying Lancets either on board my flight, or on board the ship? I also carry EPI pens and haven't had a problem flying or going on a ship with those. Doesn't seem a person could do much harm with a tiny Lancet, but don't know if they consider a sharp dangerous.

I have traveled with lancets for my blood sugar machine, and small needles for my insulin pen, and have never had a problem. I do carry a note from my doctor about my need for the meds, but have never been asked to show it. I think you should be fine.

No problems with TSA, and you can email the special needs department at the RC and request a sharps container for on board. I just emailed them for a refrigerator for my meds and a sharps container for my cabin and received a confirmation email that they will be in my cabin.

I've also noticed that there are sharps containers in most, if not all, public restrooms onboard.

Nope, never any problems domestic or international. You can ask the steward for a container once onboard.

No problems ever on RCI or Carnival. Been a diabetic cruiser since 2005. Never an issue. They will provide a shapes container on request. No TSA issues either. Enjoy your cruise!

I've never had any problems bringing my daughters insulin, syringes, lancets or her Novalog pen needles. I've never even had anyone ask about them. :)

You should not have any problem. Special needs dept can provide a sharps container if you contact them early enough.
