:confused:Does anyone know if they have Room Service the first evening on the cruises to Alaska from Seattle?

We've never used it on the first night but thought it'd be fun for the family to dine together on the wrap-around balcony IF it's the usual beautiful weather leaving Seattle in August.:)

Yes, there should be room service on the first night.

Keep in mind that many times when you hit the Pacific, it can be very choppy sand windy.

Have done that cruise a couple of times.

We had an aft-wrap on our recent Alaska sailing onboard Zuiderdam in June. We had our sailaway party on the verandah and also during the first sea day. Really enjoyed that cabin.

 

On our sailings from Seattle, it takes a couple of hours after sailaway to actually reach the open Pacific, so you should have time for an early dinner on the verandah. I'm not sure I'd plan anything late (after 8:00) as you most likely would be in the open ocean by then, and it can be windy and rough....or not!.
