Ankorage sighseeing

Have one day to spend in Ankorage. Any tips on shopping?

We have a lot of great shopping. :-) Downtown where Princess drops off pax, we have the 5th Avenue mall

for regular clothing shopping (Nordstrom, GAP, Banana Republic, Eddie Bauer, JCPenney, etc.), and 4th and 5th avenues for souvenir shopping. The Polar Bear Shops (one on 4th and one on 5th) seem to be the most popular ones; I'm always seeing their yellow bags along the streets. I've also purchased souvenirs there and was happy with the selection. Trapper Jacks (on 4th) has locally made items. Happy shopping!

 

When you're tuckered out from shopping, go to dinner at Glacier Brewhouse on 5th!
