Grand Bahama Island-what to do? EOS 8/18

When we booked the Enchantment of the Seas Aug. 18, 2014 cruise for 4 days, the last day was a day at Sea. Now, RCCL has changed this day 4 to a day on Grand Bahama Island. We were actually looking forward to the day at sea. We are from West Palm Beach, FL and are just across "the pond" from GBI... have not heard great things about it...Heard that there is a nice hotel where you can have a pool day there on the island....also a good beach might be Paradise Beach? Has anyone been to either of these? Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

JanKray - your best bet is to go to the Bahamas board here (if you haven't already) and do some searches on Freeport. Hopefully you will get some answers. This post will likely be moved over there anyway. But yes, I believe you have some hotel resort day options.

 

If you google them, there are likely some private shore excursion companies with options for Freeport, too. I don't think I'm allowed to suggest any by name, but they are easy to find.

 

By the way, I'm saying "Freeport" because that is the usual name for that stop.
