Bon Voyage Experience at a port other than embarkation?

Hi, I'm very new to Princess, having travelled with 3 other lines over the years.

I understand Princess has a Bon Voyage Experience program and wondered if anyone has ever tried to do this at the next port after embarkation. (or is this strictly an embarkation port thing).

I am planning to sail roundtrip Vancouver on California Coastal next spring. I live a stones throw from Victoria which is the first port after Vancouver. I will likely treat this stop as a "sea day" but wondered if you can partake in the bon voyage experience and invite someone on board in Victoria?

Just curious - thought it might be a fun thing to do while in Victoria, and be able to show a couple of friends the ship and my cabin while so close to home.

Thanks!

The BVE is only available at US ports of embarkation and only available on turn around day. On port days the MDR is closed anyway.

Oh! Well that answers that question...sea day resting with a good book and a drink it will be!

Thanks! :)

p.s.... if the MDR is closed on port days - is the buffet the only place open for lunch?

As stated not available outside listed US embarkation ports.

I believe that you'll be on Grand Princess? If so, then Alfredo's will be open, the International Café, the Trident Grill and Prego Pizzeria on the pool deck and the buffet will be open for lunch.

Yes I am on the Grand - I should have mentioned that thanks! Glad to hear there will be a few options besides the buffet on a port day! I appreciate the help.
Your stop in Victoria appears to be from 7:00am the 2:00pm. There is a slight chance that the DR will be open for lunch.
