Please help me understand this chart. I used Google's translate but I'm still not sure exactly what this chart is listing and how to determine what we should pay for a taxi from BCN to our hotel in city centre. Can you translated to English.

Thanks so much

Thank you. I also found what I needed at http://www.taxifarefinder.com. This one is probably a little closer to the actual fare in Barcelona.

Beware!! The calculations there are based on 2009 taxi fares.

It is best to calculate the distance of your journey using Google maps then apply the current (2014) charges

T1 rate is Mon-Fri 8am-8pm

T2 rate is Mon-Fri 8pm-8am and weekends/holidays 8am-8pm

T3 rate is weekends/holidays 8pm-8am

The fare is calculated from the following

Start of trip - meter is set to €2.10 (T3 is €2.30)

Per km the fare is €1.03 (T2 is €1.30 and T3 is €1.40)

Waiting time (including in traffic) per 10 mins €3.54 (T2 and T3 are €3.62)

Pre-ordered /radio taxi extra charge €3.40 (T2 is €4.20, T3 is €4.50) – minimum fare €7

The following supplements are also added

Airport supplements (to/from) €4.20 – minimum charge from airport €20

Cruise port supplement (to/from) €4.20

Sants, Franca and Nord stations (exit) €2.10

Xmas & New Year’s Eve (8pm-8am) and 23-24 June supplement €3.10

Larger vehicle for 5-6 people €2.10

Note there is no longer any extra charge for luggage

Remember these are 2014 fares and will be revised in January 2015

They publish the taxi fares each year around November for the next year. This is in Catalan, Spanish and English.

Rollie's post is entirely correct, but the some might like the same information from the taxi authority.

They do have the link to their new app there that will calculate approximate fares.

The trouble with these charts in 2014, unlike previous years, they do not show the per km charges.

I am not sure what the app gives you as I have not tried it.
