Pre-Cruise Hotel near Cape Liberty NJ??

We will be driving from Michigan the day before our cruise--probably coming in on I-80/I-280. We'll be getting in late the night before the cruise and driving/parking at the port on a Friday morning. Would like a hotel that is relatively easy to get in to and out of within a short distance of the port? Any suggestions??

Look around Newark Airport. Only 1 place, a best western (check parksleepfly.com) has a cruise-n-park rate but it is kind of yucky.

 

Try stuff in Newark/Elizabeth, off 13A on the turnpike. There are places near Jersey Gardens outlet mall. (you can google that for their website). I have stayed in or looked at rooms in all 4 of these properties...they are all fine for a pre cruise night and you could probably get to the port in about 15 minutes. I think the exit for the port is 15 off the TPK.
