Colo Cruiser Posted August 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) I hear Princess has family suites. Can someone tell me about them and post pics if you have any. There are 2 on each Grand Class ship. They will sleep up to 8 and are very expensive, most get them by being upgraded because they have cabins that Princess needs. They are the forward most cabin on either side of the ship and the balcony is unuseable when the ship is underway. We have sailed in them twice with 5. 8 would be too much. IMO Try a search at the top right of the Princess page near the sticky's. Use the keyword "family suite". RickEk Posted August 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2014 Here's a few photos... this is from Sapphire Princess, but all Grand-class Family Suites are basically the same. They are set up as a mini-suite connected to an interior cabin by a common living room. jackieo Posted August 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2014 The inside cabin section on the Star Princess was much smaller it had twins and then 2 beds out of the wall which encroached into the room. Our friends got the upgrade by giving up 2 balcony rooms Not quite what they expected!
ucsbgirl Posted August 29, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2014 We have a family suite for our family of four booked for 2015. Yes, it is more expensive but not that much more. We have 2 smalls kids (3,6,) and the price difference between that a mini was totally worth it to know that everyone will have their sleeping space. Our reasons also included the suite perks...we are aware that our small kids might not enjoy the dining experience and the ability to order from the full menu was appealing to us.
