salad22 Posted August 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2014 Ok fellow cruisers: I will be cruising with extended family over Thanksgiving. I am looking for a great beach to just hang for the day with calm waters, chairs to rent, food and drinks to consume. I know, crazy request!!! Any thoughts? I would even entertain resorts that offer daily passes. Thanks Salad22
DrNora Posted August 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2014 Just posted tis earlier- we took a cab to the Sheraton and for 120 bucks got a room for the day. There were 5 of us. We used the pools, hotel facilities, beac and all beach " toys" including kayaks and water bikes. Were able to shower and change before heading back to the ship. Adults also hit the casino in the connecting Westin hotel . It was an awesome beach, no harassment from vendors, great food , clean, clean , clean. Actually, I think it is the Wyndham next door. But for the money it was our best bang for the buck. And with Getaway arriving at 10 am instead of noon now, we will we will be doing this again in June! The casino was empty and paid us well? Rare mitsugirly Posted August 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2014 A lot of people over on the Nassau boards (which you might want to try for more information) seem to mention going to Melia. I'm thinking we might try it out this November. You could also check out the excursion with the ship to Blue Lagoon. We were just there a few months ago and loved the place. We actually thought about going back this time because we thought it was a great day, but decided we wanted to try out something new this time around. I have a complete review listed in my signature line with TONS of pictures if you are interested in seeing the place. :)
