fshagan Posted September 27, 2014 #26 Share Posted September 27, 2014 I had one to a different email address than I use for NCL, and after it asked me if I had ever sailed NCL (I said yes) it ended and thanked me. I think the surveys are merely trying to capture information about a specific demographic ... such as people who have never sailed NCL in my case ... and not an indication of how much NCL values you as an individual. The marketing department probably has campaigns they create to attract groups of people. Maybe something like older consumers with more disposable income, or young couples, or families with children over 10, or families with children under 10, etc. They probably have an "ideal mix" in their mind and know which market segment they are not capturing now that their competitors at Carnival are getting more of, like the 20-30 age group. So they design a survey for that group and send it out.
Rusty Aligator Posted September 30, 2014 #27 Share Posted September 30, 2014 I felt slighted, and somewhat disappointed. I kind of think of using another line that I may have missed in the past. I will stay with NCL for close to home cruises, but will keep my "Old eyes, and ears" open.
