Beach within walking distance of dock

The last time we were in the Cayman Islands we just walked to the Paradise Grill and went to the beach next to the restaurant. It was small but gave us a place to put our stuff down and take turns shopping and snorkeling. The food prices were high. We would like to find something within walking distance from the port and be able to snorkel and shop. Does anyone have suggestions? Or should we just get a ride to 7 mile beach for the day. Can you suggest a nice beach club with chairs, a bar and food with shopping close by. We do not want to spend a lot of money in this port because we have excursions scheduled in others. Kinda on a budget for this port.

Take the bus ($2.50pp) to anywhere along 7 mile beach. You don't need a beach club to use the beach....it's all public! Nice restrooms spaced out along the beach, water sport rentals, chair/umbrella rentals and bars/restaurants (on the beach)....

GC is NOT a cheap place, so don't look for bargains here. The shopping area is across from the tender dock, just beyond the bus stop. Do your shopping before or after the beach!

There is no beach walking distance from the port. You can jus hop on a bus and head to the 7mile beach. If you need a beach Club Royal Palms is the place. :)

Its just $2USD to get in and this include beach chairs. The also have a Pool.

SWIM, SNORKEL AND HAVE A FEW DRINKS:D tHE FOOD IS GREAT THERE TOO

The beaches are not really marked that well for a first time visitor, but Public Beach is near the part of West Bay Road (the road following the water) where it turns away from the water and goes around a large parking lot and construction site. If you are on a taxi or bus, just tell the driver that's where you want to get out and they'll let you know. You'll be able to see picnic shelters in front of a beach area from the road. In most of the other sections before Public Beach the actual beach itself is fairly well hidden from the road by buildings.
