Auckland info

We are departing Auckland on the Diamond Princess Jan. 22,2015. Does anyone know exactly which port we depart. Can we walk to the port? Where is the best place to stay? Any hints would be appreciated.

Staying at the Stamford Plaza is one of the closet hotels. You can definately walk to Queens Wharf from there. If you want to stay right at the wharf you can stay at The Hilton, however is much more expensive.

Are you planning on staying a few days before the cruise to get over jet lag etc? Lots of hotel options in the central business district that are a short taxi ride to the wharf. Have a look at TripAdvisor for suggestions.

There are plenty of places to stay fairly close to the wharf, most are a matter of just walking down the hill, depending on your fitness, budget and your luggage.:D
