jst4fun715 Posted May 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2004 For any of you who have used the self tanners, do they do anything to cover spider veins? I have quite a few and I hate wearing shorts because of them. I'm hooked on the capri length now. But if the tanners help cover, I may want to try it. Thanks for any info. Scarlett Fever Posted May 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2004 The self tanner I use doesn't cover the small spider veins I have but I have pretty fair skin so I'm not sure any of them would.
LandLockedInAZ Posted May 12, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I think it helps to minimize the contrast between your skin color and the color of the spider veins so that they may not be so noticeable. You may also want to check out the Sally Hansen Airbrush makeup for legs mentioned in another recent post. It sounds like that provides excellent coverage. Haven't tried it myself, but am intrigued. klauer Posted May 18, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2004 Have you thought about sclerotherapy (injections)or laser treatments? The injections got rid of most of my spider veins, and I had laser to get rid of one bad patch. The injections are not too expensive, and really not that painful (way less than a bikini wax!). You could have treatments in the fall, and have your legs completely healed by your cruise.
