thecruisers723 Posted October 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2014 Are there any Cabana's at Great Stirrup Cay within reasonably close walking distance to the water? They don't look close from the pics I've seen and I'd like to be able to go in the water when it gets warm without walking too far.
sharkmanstudio Posted October 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Its only about 100 feet to the water from the cabanas. Here is a facebook page about GSC with a lot of pics in the photo section. https://www.facebook.com/#!/GreatStirrupCay

I just liked it on Facebook and am going to go browse through it now. I actually decided to go ahead and book a large cabana yesterday. I figured that in February, it won't be so hot that I need to walk into the water to cool off every 15 minutes. I'm very excited about having the cabana to retreat to when we're not in the water. We had a cabana booked at Half Moon Cay a couple of years ago and 2 days before the cruise, they changed our itinerary due to propulsion problems and the ports were changed so we didn't get to go to HMC. I've wanted to get a cabana ever since. So hopefully this time will work out better.
soaringfalcon Posted November 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) The large cabanas are further from the water than the small. If you need to be close to the water, you'll want to book a small. if anyone has mobility problems, both types of cabanas are located up a small hill. ETA: no cabanas are within 100 feet. 100 yard maybe. Edited November 11, 2014 by soaringfalcon clarity

The small cabana's are not on a hill as high up as the large ones, they are on the same level as the path, there is however a regular descending beach. Might have a pic if anyone is interested.
