mandtpa Posted November 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Pros :) Very quick and easy boarding as long as your uploaded photo and documentation meets specs as described No more medical form to fill out, questions asked by your greeter via tablet Very attractive ship overall Larger shower, if you drop the soap you can actually bend over to get it The obstructed view in our port side forward cabin was minimal, could see the ocean Soap and toiletries provided in bathroom We had a non functional 110 vac receptacle next to the bed (for CPAP) and it was fixed within minutes of a call to maintenance Cabin seemed longer but a little narrower so on the whole a little bigger The ship is really a floating resort hotel Don't miss MamaMia, it's great Food in Chic or American Icon was good but not great Cons  For our three day there was over a half hour wait for parking at Bayonne We found no quiet lounge for a drink before or after dinner Seems everywhere there is music it is a little too loud Audio in the theater is extremely loud except for MamaMia which was perfect The band in Two70 was deafeningly loud, could not possible hold a conversation, had to shout in a bartender's ear to order a drink We didn't find any ballroom dancing venue Although WiFi signal was good almost anywhere internet speed was slow which will likely be fixed There were a lot of kinks that will likely be ironed out in time some due to cold weather We still prefer MDR to DD Diamond lounge on deck 4 was too small and spilled over into the Music Hall. Would have preferred a Viking Lounge topside Seemed very family and young people oriented. Very high tech an iPhone or iPad will help. No Android app yet. Suggestions ;) Make dinner reservations on line prior to cruise. Many people could not get a reservation or at a time they wanted on board Our cabin on port side forward heard (felt) the baseline from the Music Theater until the wee hours. Stay aft or up
MindyJohn Posted November 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Good job on some of the basics about Q. We were on the TA and I was glad our cabin was aft (being near the elevator was a plus). Your dining observations are similar to mine, but I know there are many viewpoints on that topic :D
