There are actually - slightly - different routes among the different companies and sometimes different stops depending on schedule. Prices also vary.

 

We did notice that the HOHO took different routes in to town both times, so it may depend on the driver. They do have to pass by designated stops so I guess there isn't too much variation.

 

I didn't notice whether there was more than one company running HOHO, there just seemed to be just the one the day we were there.

 

If my Google search was correct the Tjibaou Cultural Centre is out by the airport, a long way from where the HOHO bus runs. I do vaguely remember passing by some sort of Kanak museum or cultural centre though. I think it was near Lemon Bay.

I caught the explorer bus out to the cultural centre. It's a fantastic place. As it was a destination I specifically wanted to go to, I noted there were some that didn't go out there, and even with the company I joined not all buses went out there, but I checked the timetable and it all worked out.

Thank you for the feedback! I remember visiting the cultural centre on the hoho a few years ago!

Is any of this info available from a website?? I would like to look at the route and plan stops.
