We are arriving 3 May 2015 at Southampton on the QV and transferring to QE. Can anyone advise if Cunard will transfer our luggage and provide transport for us. What wharves will they dock and how far apart are they.

I received a garbled response from Cunard.

Appreciate any advice.

From what I've read Southampton Cruise Terminal is scheduled for reconstruction. What this means to Cunard ships, I have no idea.

Last January DW and I took the QM2 from New York City to Southampton, changed ships to the QE and then traveled to Ft. Lauderdale. In Southampton, Cunard provided a bus from one ship to the other which transported us and our luggage. Check-in in Southampton took about one and a half hours. We had no problems with our luggage as we took possession of our bags from the bus when we checked in. It was all fairly painless. Hope it works out well for you also.

QE is presently not shown, but keep your eyes on the following link. QV is shown as Berth 106 Mayflower Terminal, but could change.

http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/live_information/shipping_movements_and_cruise_ship_schedule/cruise_ship_schedule/

The Ocean Terminal Berth 46 and QE11 Terminal Berth 38/9 are gained through Dock Gate 4 and 5. Both of these cruise terminals are a fair distance from from the others which are situated near to the Southampton Central Railway Station.

The schedule of the terminals that cruise ships are using in Southampton can be found on the ABP Southampton website. They are the port Authority.

Look for leisure > cruise ship schedule.

In general QE and Ocean terminals are in the "Old" docks, and the Mayflower terminal is in the "New" docks.

The City terminal is mainly retained by the remaining lines, i.e. RCCL and MSC
