Discounts for booking specialty restaurants before cruise or while onboard?

Hi - I'm eagerly awaiting my 4th Royal cruise on Navigator in January, and had a question about booking specialty restaurants, which I've never done before. I've heard about the "book at 3 restaurants pre-cruise and receive 20% OBC" and "book the 1st day onboard and receive some discount?" Are there other discounts that would be applicable? We're thinking about going to Sabor (have seen the great reviews for it on here), Izumi, Giovanni's. We'd probably go to just 2 but could go for a 3rd to get a discount. Shooting for overall best "bang for the buck". Thanks!

I received an email from RCI offering a 20% discount refunded via OBC for booking a specialty restaurant on the first night. This is for the Jewel next month.
