maysdot Posted December 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2014 Has anyone ever had an outside cabin on Grandeur that has 2 portholes instead of a window (Cabins 2008-2014 & 2508-2514)? Just wondering if these cabins give enough light for someone who suffers from claustrophobia.
dc67 Posted December 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2014 We had two of those cabins on Deck 4 of Grandeur and were pleased with the light that came into the room. I'll look around to see if I can find some photos.
dc67 Posted December 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 20, 2014 So much for my memory. My wife and son just reminded me that I was remembering being on Deck 3 of Enchantment. Still looking for photos.
dc67 Posted December 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) Here's a photo from Deck 3 of Enchantment. Should be very similar if not the same as on Grandeur. Edited December 23, 2014 by dc67
goofy810 Posted December 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Only issue would be if there are storms, was in one of the port hole cabins years back and in a storm they came in and covered the window / port hole as there had been issues in the past with them breaking in storms

cocod08 Posted December 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 25, 2014 I hope this works this was the Grandeur last year 3002. I thought there was plenty of light.
Dayenu Posted December 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 25, 2014 We were on a different ship with one porthole - enough light coming in, and at night you can see the stars. The only thing was that in the evening the room steward would shut the curtains, and I can't stand it, so my husband knew to open them the moment we stepped into the cabin. I just didn't want to bother the steward.

Is there some sort of "public viewing" attribute you can set on the photo?

dc67 Posted December 26, 2014 #13 Share Posted December 26, 2014 I thought I had this set to public access. Not very helpful if you need to be logged into dropbox to view. I'll look for another option.
