Driving from Austin the day of our cruise. What time should we leave Austin to be on the ship at noon? Also what are the parking options in Galveston?

It's between 3.5 and 4 hours depending on which way you go and no traffic or other issues. There are several parking places at or near the pier. Because of Austin and Houston traffic I would build in at least and hour buffer for driving.

I like galveston park n cruise. Right across the highway, you can walk with your luggage if you chose. No shuttle across the road.
