On board cash

It used to be that you could purchase chips at the casino, and then turn them in for cash without getting hit with a % charge. Still true? If not, what is the charge? Any charge to cash in travelers checks, or just tough it out with pure hard cash?

If you use a slot machine then you can charge to your room in the machine with no fee and transfernot your card. Then you bring your card to the cashier at the casino and cash out. Same if you have any left over OBC, you can cash it out this way.
