waterbound Posted August 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2005 I got a Princess book from the TA and on the picture of the ship it shows a motion simulator ride on the Grand Princess.. Which ride is this?
Toto2Kansas Posted August 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2005 Hummm, they must have added that recently. It was not on the ship the last time we sailed.
MaryPoppinz Posted August 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2005 I never go in the arcade, so I had to investigate what this was all about! I think this is probably what she's referring to: http://www.princess.com/ships/ap/tour/ap_voyage_of_discovery.html "The first virtual reality arcade at sea features brightly colored space pod simulators plus a galaxy of exciting cutting-edge games." Toto2Kansas Posted August 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2005 I bet you have found the answer MaryP. Thanks for clearing that up, I was a bit puzzled. ;)
sunworshiper101 Posted August 26, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2005 The ride was in the arcade when we sailed in 2002, but was broken down the entire time :( Too bad!!
DrivesLikeMario Posted August 26, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 26, 2005 When we were on the Grand in 2000 and 2001, the motion-simulator ride was there. It is basically the same thing that Star Tours is at Disneyland. It was $5 per person per ride at that time and the screen (ride) would change about 3 times a week. On port days, the price was 1/2 off. I'm not sure if they still have the ride or not. They also had flight simulators, hang glider simulators, the games where you ride on motor cycles, House of the Dead, etc. The video game prices are MUCH, MUCH better than other cruise lines, but still, it can get pricey! Any other questions, just let me know. My sons can give a detailed critique of all the ships' video game rooms on the ships we've been on! ;)
