HELP PLEASE -Driving San Jose to Yosemite

[MOMofONE]

We are cruising from San Fran in June on the Pride of Aloha.

We are arriving 4 days early to see Yosemite.

We are flying into San Jose airport, and should have rental by 1 PM.

What is best scenic route to take to Yosemite?

We MUST enter thru south entrance of park (Route 41)to get to our accomodations, condo near Glacier Point Road.

Any suggestion for best place to stop for food shopping appreciated as well.
